Cory Bohon at MacLife has posted a great article about regaining disk space on your Mac. Who would have thought that in these days of 500+ GB disks, we could ever conceive of possibly having disk space issues. But it does happen more often than we would like to admit.
Here is a list of suggestions that is certainly good, even if many of them seem to be obvious to those who aren’t new to the Mac.
- Delete Apps
- Delete Old Documents and iChat Logs
- Get Rid of Mail Downloads
- Remove Old Log Files
- Find iTunes Duplicates
- Reset Your Browser
This article gives you specific recommendations on how to accomplish each and every one of these. There are also utilities that can help you find duplicate files on your drive as well.
