I use 2 hard drives for my clients (well actually 3). I use a portable hard drive so I can make changes when I am not in the office to any of my clients files. I also use one external hard drive for the main clients drive where all of my clients files reside it remains in the office/studio. I also have a backup drive in the office/studio that backs up all the information on this clients drive.

Are you still dragging applications to the trash and leaving the associated files on your computer?
AppDelete is an uninstaller for Macs that will remove not only Applications but also Widgets, Preference Panes, Plugins and Screensavers along with their associated files. Without AppDelete these associated items will be left behind to take up space and potentially cause issues.
